The first thing to keep in mind as you plan your trip, is that Juneau is not connected to the road system. This means that you will want to plan your trip in advance to make sure you can get all the details lined up.

2. Getting to Juneau: Ferry vs. Plane

If you would like to bring your car or RV, you will need to utilize the ferry. You can catch the ferry in Bellingham, Washington  or  Skagway or Haines, Alaska. You can find the schedule for the ferry here. They run a summer schedule and a fall or winter schedule. Once you know your ferry dates, ensure your reservation is updated with the correct dates- give our friendly staff a call if you need help with this.

If you are coming by plane, you will want to line up a car rental or taxi/uber. You could also familiarize yourself with the city bus system if desired.
