Meet Our Staff

Jean Vandiver

Office Manager

Jean moved to Juneau in 2018 with her husband after taking a leap of faith and quitting my job of 29 1/2 years.  Born and raised in Southern Indiana, she never thought she would move away from home, but found a new and wonder filled place to call home.

Her and her husband have two sons, one of which followed their lead and moved here in 2019.  In her free time, she enjoys getting out on the water, fishing, gardening, cooking, and just spending time with family.  She just loves all the interesting people she has met and continues to meet working at Glacier Nalu Campground.

Onnalee Odom

Office Coordinator

Onnalee has lived in Juneau for over a decade now. She is a wife, mom, and active member of the Juneau community. She works at Glacier Nalu Campground in the summers-making reservations, assisting guests, and keeping things running smoothly. Her favorite part of working at Glacier Nalu is helping guests experience all Juneau has to offer!

Cody Vandiver

Groundskeeper & Maintenance

Cody moved to Juneau in 2019 from Southern Indiana.  He loves to fish, hunt, camp, and basically just being outdoors with his best buddy, Clayton (dog).  Working at Glacier Nalu doing maintenance has been great since most of the work is outdoors.

Becky Janes

Co-Founder & General Manager

Becky grew up in Juneau and has spent more than 30 years working in Alaska’s tourism industry. She and her husband, Sean, co-founded Above & Beyond Alaska (ABAK), one of Juneau’s leading adventure tour companies known for high-quality wilderness experiences. Together, they later launched Glacier Nalu Campground to create a basecamp for travelers seeking comfort, connection, and adventure in Southeast Alaska.

When she’s not working, Becky is often out adventuring with her husband and two boys whether on the water, in the mountains, or exploring new corners of the world.

Sean Janes

Co-Founder & President

Sean was raised in Juneau and has been exploring Alaska’s wilderness for over 40 years. Alongside his wife Becky, he co-founded Above & Beyond Alaska (ABAK), one of Juneau’s leading adventure tour companies, and later Glacier Nalu Campground as a basecamp for travelers eager to experience the beauty and adventure of Southeast Alaska.

Sean’s roots run deep in Juneau—his family helped pioneer Eaglecrest Ski Area in the 1970s, with multiple generations serving as ski patrollers and sharing a lifelong passion for the outdoors. Whether he’s skiing, boating, surfing, or traveling the world with his wife and their two boys, Sean lives and breathes adventure.

Wade Panzich

Groundskeeper

Wade found his way to Alaska over twenty years ago and never looked back. Drawn to the mountains, fresh air, and the tight-knit community of Juneau, he quickly made the outdoors a central part of his life. Now a longtime Juneau local, Wade brings deep knowledge of Southeast Alaska and a passion for connecting with people.

When he’s not working as a boat captain with ABAK during the summer or helping out at the campground in the winter, Wade is usually off adventuring with his wife and two kids or traveling to explore new places together.
