Where is Glacier Nalu located?

Glacier Nalu is located at 10200 Mendenhall Loop Road in Juneau’s Mendenhall Valley, nestled in the Tongass National Forest. We’re conveniently located just minutes from Mendenhall Glacier and Juneau International Airport, with easy access to Auke Bay, the Alaska Marine Highway ferry terminal, shopping, restaurants, and outdoor recreation.

What types of accommodations do you offer?

Glacier Nalu offers full-hookup RV sites, Deluxe Tent Sites, Elevated Glamping Tents, Tiny Home rentals, and our two-bedroom Pond House Suite. We also offer extended-stay RV sites and seasonal winter RV and boat storage.

Can I stay at Glacier Nalu without an RV?

Absolutely! You don’t need an RV to stay at Glacier Nalu. Guests can choose from Deluxe Tent Sites, Elevated Glamping Tents, Tiny Homes, and vacation rental accommodations.

Are you open year-round?

Yes! Glacier Nalu is open year-round, with accommodations and site availability varying by season. We welcome both short-term and extended-stay guests throughout the year.

Is Glacier Nalu pet friendly?

Yes, pets are welcome at our RV Sites and Deluxe Tent Sites. Pets are not permitted in our Tiny Homes, vacation rental accommodations, or Elevated Glamping Tents.

What amenities are available at Glacier Nalu?

Glacier Nalu offers complimentary Wi-Fi, restrooms and hot showers, coin-operated laundry facilities, complimentary coffee and tea, outdoor gathering areas, covered gazebos, and our Rainforest Sauna. Available amenities may vary depending on the accommodation type.

Is the Rainforest Sauna available to guests?

Yes. Our Rainforest Sauna is available to registered Glacier Nalu guests. Please check current sauna hours and use requirements during your stay.

Do you offer extended stays and winter storage?

Yes. Glacier Nalu offers extended-stay RV sites as well as seasonal winter RV and boat storage.

How close is Glacier Nalu to Mendenhall Glacier?

Glacier Nalu is approximately 3 miles from the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center, making us a convenient basecamp for exploring the glacier and surrounding trails.

How far is Glacier Nalu from the airport, ferry terminal, and downtown Juneau?

Glacier Nalu is conveniently located in Juneau’s Mendenhall Valley, a short drive from Juneau International Airport and the Alaska Marine Highway ferry terminal, and approximately 14 miles from downtown Juneau.

Do I need a vehicle while staying at Glacier Nalu?

Not necessarily. Glacier Nalu is located along Juneau’s public bus route, and rideshare and taxi services are also available. However, having a vehicle can make it easier to explore more of Juneau on your own schedule.

What is the weather like in Juneau, and what should I pack?

Juneau is located in a temperate rainforest, so rain is a normal part of the Southeast Alaska experience and weather can change quickly. We recommend packing layers, a waterproof jacket, comfortable waterproof footwear, and clothing that can adapt to changing conditions.
